Q
How long will it take to get a reply for a Job/Project I placed a bid on?
Responses to Project Bids highly depend on the availability and needs of the employer for the job. Employers will notify you directly if you are considered for the position. There are several ways to get noticed by employers when bidding on projects/jobs. Here are some recommendations to attract employers and consider your job bid. 1. Apply/Bid on jobs that match your skills and expertise (include a title for your profile which accurately describes your profession). 2. Make a good impression when writing the about you section of your profile. Your profile should be well-written and should attract the interest of the employer. 3. Make sure that your profile is currently updated with complete details (at least 60% of profile completeness). This will help enhance your competency level and increase the chance to be noticed by employers. In order to make sure that your profile is as complete as possible, please include a portfolio in your file (for many employers this is a systematic criteria of selection). When an employer finds you fit for the job, you will be contacted directly by the employer. Think about updating your profile and portfolio at the end of every job. Job offers can be viewed in two ways, either directly on the website or through our daily mailing list. To sign up to the mailing list, please visit your Job Alerts (Dashboard > New Job Alerts). You can also receive them via RSS feed or Twitter.
Q
How will I get paid at PoDLancer.com for a Project?
When a job is awarded to you, you are responsible for sending the invoice to the employer at the end of every milestone. The Employer reviews the job done and your invoice and makes payment to you. This payment will appear in your "My Earning" Account which always shows at the top of the page. You can then withdraw this payment to your personal bank account as contained on your profile. If your job was found by using one of our Business Managers then you are employed by PoDLancer.com. In this case, it is to PoDLancer.com to whom you send your status updates and invoices. PoDLancer.com will therefore pay you.

With this model, you will need to directly manage and deal with a situation with the freelancer in question. In fact, by choosing this model, the employer is in direct contact with the freelancer. However, if you choose the Escrow model, a then you will have the chance of recovering your funds if the final work does not meet your expectation.
